Abby has her first ear infection, in both ears. She was sick all last week then was better for a couple days and started getting sick again. Now she has a runny noes, congestion, and a double ear infection. I feel so bad for her. She lives in Tylenol. They really need to come out with some kind of cough medicine for infants. I can't wait until she is better so Stu and I can get some sleep again.

Christmas Day 2009
Christmas Eve
This year we spent Christmas Eve with my family at my Grandma Cleo's house. A lot of my extended family was there. We had dinner and chatted for awhile, then the great grand kids opened their presents. (probably to keep them occupied) Next we played pictionary with Christmas songs - that was a blast. Then we played one of those games when you read a story and pass presents left and right when it is read in the story. Finally we acted out the Nativity. Abby was Baby Jesus this time. She is getting really advanced in her acting, she is even doing gender roles now. Abby loved the party and even as I was nursing her at the end while everyone was cleaning up she had to have a little hole in the blanket so she could watch everyone. She didn't want to miss a thing. She was worn out by the end, she was asleep in her car seat before we even made it to the car. On our way home we drove down Christmas Street for me. That was a tradition my family always did on Christmas Eve on our way home from my Grandma's.

All tuckered out!
O Christmas Tree
Here is a picture of our Christmas tree and our stocking (which I am so proud of because I made them, with help from my mom). As always we have our Lionel Polar Express set up around the tree. Abby loved to watch it go around and around. I am sad that Christmas is over and we have to take it all down soon.
Stuart's, Jane's and Abigail's
Maybe by next year I will have names on them.

And the Shepards watched their flocks by night...
Last Sunday we did a little Nativity at Stuart's parents house since all of the grandkids will not be there on Christmas Eve. Abby made her debut as the chubby, little lamb. She played her part well! Eva was an amazing angel, she held the star up so high. Baby Jesus, played by the newest member of the family Joshua, was a little fussy, but I would cry too if I was placed in that hard wood cradle. It was one of the cutest Nativity's I have ever seen (probably because our little one was in it).
